Work Experience
Keith worked on computer networking for 27 years at Research Triangle Park, for IBM and for Cisco Systems, and was granted three United States patents. Before that, Keith earned a Ph.D. from the University of California at Berkeley and taught French at the university level.
Studying the Law
After retiring from Cisco in 2009, Keith entered Campbell Law School in Raleigh where he has focused on the laws and government of North Carolina. In the summer of 2010, Keith was a legislative intern at the North Carolina General Assembly, and in the summer of 2011, he interned at the North Carolina Court of Appeals. Keith was also an intern at the North Carolina Department of Justice.
Family
Keith and his wife Leslie have been married for 35 years. Their two sons attended the Wake County Public Schools and both graduated from UNC Chapel Hill. Their first grandson was born in December.
